Our Mission

MINISTRY OF AWE seeks to strengthen the cultural fabric of Philadelphia, transforming untapped potential into extraordinary art.

We envision a Philadelphia where the art we create engages people in new ways; where the “we” is a diverse group of professionals, community members, aspiring artists, students and educators; and where the creativity in each and every one of us spreads beyond our artistic boundaries.

Our vision becomes action with these steps…

Create collaborative public art in our own and other spaces.

Involve Philadelphia’s professional artists through mutually beneficial collaborations with fair compensation.

Engage as a community with intentionality, to learn, create and experience together.

Collaborate with educational institutions to bring our work into classrooms and offer onsite, immersive experiences within our studio and creative space.

MINISTRY OF AWE is about being able to express ourselves, generate action, and enact change. It's about using our voices, choosing inclusivity over division, collaboration over isolation, participation over abstention. It means hearing and embracing disparate voices, and together creating art with those ideas and contributions. MoA is about us, ALL of us, so join in, plan, create, question, take up space, make art, make messes, and make your dreams a sur-reality!
